This chakra serves as our center of love for oneself and others, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness. The anahata chakra is associated with the color green, which represents transformation and love energy. When the heart chakra is clear and balanced a person feels surrounded by love, compassion, and joy, feels open to all experiences in life, sees all the beauty and love around him and is truly connected to himself and the natural world. Feelings of grief, clinginess, loneliness, and a general lack of self-love causes blockages to heart chakra.
